ABOUT KENAID
OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE A SAFE AND HEALTHY PLACE TO LEARN AND GROW.
KenAid Children's Fund is a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kenya founded in 2014, supported by a US-based 501(c)(3).
Our main objective is to provide quality education to impoverished children, irrespective of their social and economic challenges.
Life in the slums of Africa is fraught with immense challenges, especially for children who are forced to abandon their education to work and support themselves and their families. Unfortunately, this often leads to child labor and exploitation. At KenAid Children's Fund, we believe every child deserves access to education and the opportunity to thrive, irrespective of their circumstances. Our mission is to reach out to disadvantaged children of Mombasa, Kenya, and bridge the gap left by existing interventions.
Our organization is in the heart of the Ugatuzi slums in Bamburi village, Kisauni District, Mombasa, where an estimated 6,000 households and 10,000 children lack basic necessities.
Through our initiatives, we aim to address the pressing needs of disadvantaged children by:
providing access to quality education at our Blueview Schools,
offering nutritional support to combat hunger,
provide clean drinking water on-site,
and advocating for accommodation and sanitation facilities to improve living conditions.
KenAid Children’s Fund is a registered charity with the Kenya Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sports, Culture & Social Services.
