Give Them a Lift!
Every day, children at Blue View School in the Ugatuzi slums of Mombasa walk up to 5 miles each way to reach class.
That distance—especially during the rainy season—makes it harder to attend, harder to learn, and harder to thrive.
This summer, we’re raising the final $5,000 needed to buy a 16-seater school van that will change lives for years.
The van will operate as a paid shuttle to the local railway station when not used for student transport. That revenue will:
Fund teacher salaries
Support ongoing school operations
Reduce dependence on outside donations
Your one-time gift creates an ongoing safety, stability, and sustainability cycle.
The van won’t just bring kids to school. It will help keep the school running.
“We want to empower—not just educate—our community.
The children at Blue View School deserve more than just a seat in a classroom; they deserve a reliable, dignified way to get there.
This van will do more than drive them to school: it will help us keep teachers in the classroom, strengthen trust with parents, and offer the community a resource they can rely on. With it, we aren’t just meeting a need—we’re building a future that sustains itself.”
