Give Them a Lift!
Every day, children at Blueview School in the Ugatuzi slums of Mombasa walk up to 5 miles each way to reach class.
That distance—especially during the rainy season—makes it harder to attend, harder to learn, and harder to thrive.
We’re raising the last $5,000 needed as a down payment on a 16-seater school van.
This van will safely transport students every day — and when not in use, it will operate as a local shuttle, generating income to:
Fund teacher salaries
Support school operations
Reduce dependence on outside donations
Every gift brings us closer. Once we raise this final amount, the bank will triple our funds with a matching loan, making the van a reality.
We’re just $3,900 away — can you help us cross the finish line?
The van won’t just bring kids to school.
It will help keep the school running.
“We want to empower—not just educate—our community.
The children at Blueview School deserve more than just a seat in a classroom; they deserve a reliable, dignified way to get there.
This van will do more than drive them to school: it will help us keep teachers in the classroom, strengthen trust with parents, and offer the community a resource they can rely on. With it, we aren’t just meeting a need—we’re building a future that sustains itself.”
